Let the beat of Dhol Tasha rock you!
Ganapati Bappa is close to the heart of every Marathi person, and with this love for the god and what he stands for, we have started a Dhol Tasha pathak in the Pacific North West. Beats of Redmond is a nonprofit volunteer led organization that focuses on traditional Maharashtrian Dhol Tasha for Ganapati in Seattle, and on traditional performance art including Lezhim and Zanza.
Ganapati Bappa Moraya!
The favorite work of our nonprofit so far is the event put together in 2019 during the Ganeshotsav. Over 75 volunteers participated in the Maharashtrian Dhol Tasha for Ganapati in Seattle. Lezhim, Zanza, and Zenda pathak rounded out the event that was enjoyed by 600 over attendees. This huge response to our debut inspired us to go even bigger this year.
